Senior Analyst / Associate

Washington, D.C. (New York City considered for strong applicants)

Job Summary

Multiplier Capital is looking for a Pre-MBA Senior Analyst or Associate to join our investment team in Washington, D.C. (New York City considered for strong applicants). This two-to-three-year role is perfect for someone passionate about technology investing and the venture- and growth equity-backed ecosystem. As a key member of a lean, collaborative team, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in private investing and live deal execution, in addition to significant exposure to leading founders, executives, and top-tier venture capital firms.

You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with senior investment professionals across the full lifecycle of a deal—from sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to financial modeling, due diligence, and presenting to the Investment Committee. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting term sheet negotiations, portfolio monitoring, and strategic decision-making for our expanding portfolio of high-growth technology companies.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Dive into diligence—analyzing companies, reviewing due diligence materials, and identifying what drives success.
  • Build detailed financial models and run sensitivity analyses to support investment decisions.
  • Draft investment memos and present findings to the Investment Committee.
  • Participate in on-site meetings with management teams at prospective portfolio companies.
  • Support deal execution, including term sheet drafting and legal process coordination.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, track milestones, and help shape company strategy.
  • Contribute to business development—sector research, screening companies, updating our deal database, and helping with fundraising efforts.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; a quantitative major (e.g., finance, accounting, economics, or related field) and strong academic performance are preferred.
  • 1–4 years of relevant full-time experience—ideally in tech-focused investment banking, venture capital, growth equity, venture banking, commercial banking, leveraged finance, corporate development, or financial consulting.
  • Strong financial modeling and accounting skills with a solid understanding of financial statements.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Genuine interest in evaluating a wide range of businesses within the venture and growth ecosystem.
  • Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on a small, high-performing team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment—able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
