Recognizing Leadership in Supporting Capital Access for Small Businesses

On September 24 The Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA) proudly presented the 2024 Champion of Small Business Investing Award to members of the U.S. House and Senate who have shown exceptional support for policies that drive capital access for small businesses. This annual recognition honors lawmakers committed to fostering economic growth through improved funding opportunities for small businesses across the country.

At this year’s event, Multiplier Capital’s Managing General Partner Kevin Sheehan helped present awards to 86 members of Congress who were acknowledged for their dedication to creating policies that help unleash more capital, ensuring small businesses have the resources they need to thrive. The awardees include members from key committees such as House Financial Services, Senate Banking, and Small Business committees, among others.

“Access to long-term, patient capital is essential for our domestic small businesses to grow and succeed,” said SBIA President Brett Palmer. “These champions in Congress have shown unwavering support for American jobs and entrepreneurial growth by improving access to critical funding.”
